Short biography

Sebastian Posth is a serial entrepreneur working on digital trust and provenance infrastructure for creators and rightsholders. He brings digital signatures and cryptography to media publishing and distribution – binding authorship, rights, and AI-usage to content so they can be verified. He co-initiated the ISCC, adopted as an international standard (ISO 24138:2024), contributes to standardisation at ISO, W3C, and IETF, and is the founder of Liccium. With more than twenty years across the publishing, media, and digital content industries, he has been an invited speaker at over 50 international conferences and policy forums since 2007. He is based in Leiden.

About Liccium

Liccium lets creators digitally sign their work and publicly declare who made it, what rights apply, and whether it may be used to train AI. Every statement is tied to the content itself through an ISCC – a fingerprint derived from the file rather than a watermark or strippable metadata – so the claim travels with the work wherever it goes.
